BU Gastronomy 


Team effort and branding redesign, we created this new identity for Boston University’s Gastronomy Program with the idea of a plate. The humble plate instills an immediate emotional association with food, community, culture, craft, history, tradition and a lot more. A simple object which is usually taken for granted for its mundanity can be a metaphor for an array of ideas that can be expressed through the lens of Food. The plate was invented for holding food, and has hence witnessed and experienced a journey through the evolution of civilization.


As such, the plate has become a metaphor, mascot, icon, and logo for Boston University Gastronomy.
